Phase II post-op care focuses on preparing the patient and family for care at home. Kamehameha 4 Short/Recovery Stay is a 20 bed ambulatory short stay/recovery area which operates 6 days a week, Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 7:30 pm and Saturday 5:00 am to 4:30 pm. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) II provides a variety of practical nursing care, and performs related technical work; may serve as "in charge" or team leader of assigned intermediate care patients in a ward or other patient care unit or a small facility on the evening or night shift; may supervise para-medical assistants and other unlicensed personnel; and performs other related duties as assigned.
