Measure vital signs, Administer IVs, change dressings, clean wounds as needed Provides skilled nursing care, preventative rehabilitative procedures, and prescribed treatments with a variety of patient populations within various potentially complex home situations. Work closely with a supportive patient care team including physicians, therapy and social services, pastoral care, home health aides and others for your assigned caseload. Provide patient and family education for disease management and health promotion as directed by physician’s plan of treatment. Provide care to the most upmost standard Minimum Qualifications: New York State RN license Minimum of one year of recent hands on experience as a Registered Nurse. Job Details Our Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department will: • Responsible for 24/7 operations of the Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit. • Manage, lead, and support the staff members of the unit, promoting safe nursing practice and intervening as needed. • Maintain operational aspects of the unit including participating in budget preparation, monitoring resources. • Collaborate with human resources to hire and evaluate staff and resolve issues. • Attend management meetings and participate on departmental committees. • Serve as a clinical and technical resource and role model for staff, applying knowledge to daily practice. What you'll bring: • Passion for Emergency Room Nursing • 5+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in Emergency Department • 2+ years of progressive nurse leadership experience in an Emergency Department • Clinical expertise in Emergency Nursing, both adult and pediatric, computer skills in Microsoft suite, excellent communication skills. Knowledge of regulatory agencies and best practices. • Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required, Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration • Certification: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required.
