POSITION OVERVIEW Assists the Director of Nursing (DON) to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the schedule for all nursing service department employees. Schedule nursing employees in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the health center as well as meeting customer service needs. Key Responsibilities Creates the campus’ four (4) week Master set schedule and posts schedule in accordance with the Campus Hourly Scheduling policy. Makes staffing adjustments as needed according to budgetary constraints, census fluctuations, calls-offs, and pre-planned leave. Manages, supports, and coordinates employees' PTO requests, holiday rotations, and shift trades. Generates all required postings such as BIPA, daily assignment sheets, and monthly schedules. Manages nursing hours (PPD) and proper staff ratio to census. Manages Time and Attendance, including Attendance points, buy-backs, and shift pick up incentives. Utilizes Smartlinx’s functionality; including posting open shifts, filling open shifts, and employee messaging. Meets each new employee to review their schedule, ask what needs they have, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience. Provide direct patient care as needed as a CNA. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred 1-3 Years of relevant experience preferred Must possess and maintain a current, valid state CNA certification. We are currently seeking a Primary and Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide wound services to patients living in long-term care facilities. PRIMARY AND WOUND NP ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide wound care and primary services for long-term care patients residing in skilled nursing facilities. Prescribe appropriate medications, including controlled substances in accordance with KY Law. Order, review, and/or follow-up with treatments and diagnostic testing. Communicate with the nursing home staff on a regular and as needed to discuss changes in condition. and/or the care plan. Collaborate with the primary care physician. PRIMARY AND WOUND NP QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Current, unrestricted NP license in the state of Kentucky. Board Certification. DEA licensure (Optional) Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties. Clinical background of wound care; including but not limited to chronic, debilitating, stalled, or infected wounds Must be comfortable with diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed etiology wounds or Kennedy Ulcers. Must be comfortable staging pressure injuries according to the NPIAP Must be familiar with wound care best practice and advanced wound care products; collagens, alginates, foams, silvers, etc. Must have experience with wound vacs and other DME, such as pressure relieving/ reducing devices Strong preference to having wound certification or be open to getting certified Experience working in a long-term care setting. Ability to work with an EMR. Ability to work within an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care. Basic coding knowledge preferred, not required.
