Attend job-related meetings, in-service trainings, staff development training, participates in team problem solving methods, building rapport, responds to request, and maintains a cooperative relation among the health care team by communicating information. Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needing supplies, and placing orders for supplies. Other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Education/Experience: High School Diploma/GED required Current LVN license in State of operations required or LPT license in State of operations. CPR and First Aid Certified. Two years of experience as an LVN or in a health-related field preferred. Knowledge of basic principles, practices and techniques of drug and alcohol intervention. Knowledge of medications effects, indications, and contraindications. Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings. Murrieta Health and Rehabilitation Center is a 145-bed skilled nursing facility in Murrieta, Ca. We are urgently hiring for ALL SHIFTS Full-time shifts available! Pay: $31-37/hr DOE POSITION SUMMARY The purpose of your job position is to provide each resident with routine daily nursing care in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards that govern the facility and as directed by your supervisors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensuring that all nursing care is provided in privacy Checking vital signs Dressing wounds Inserting catheters Listening to residents and their families Addressing questions/concerns of residents Performing accurate and detailed charting of resident progress notes Timely reporting of change in resident’s condition to the nurse supervisor Assisting and supervising CNAs Ensuring equipment is in good operating order Monitoring residents that are at risk for falls Collecting lab samples Abiding with all facility policies and procedures including not disclosing user ID codes and passwords Following Infection and Control policies Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately Attending annual facility in-service training programs Completing other assignments when requested by management Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position.
