You will exhibit proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks Perform and document head to toe evaluation of your patients utilizing an approved scoring system in line with HCA policy and procedure Check dressings and/or operative site of your patients and report abnormalities to the surgeon Provide a safe and comforting environment for your patients and family Ensure your patients meet discharge criteria PreOp Prepare your patients’ care area adequately before case Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients’ procedure Conduct complete physical and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients’ history and diagnostic tests Review your patients’ charts for completeness prior to surgery Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed Monitor your patients until transferred to the OR Qualifications you will need: Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery Active RN license as required by state of employment BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable ACLS required within 30-days of hire PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire Countryside Surgery Center is proud to have a long and distinguished reputation as a provider of ambulatory surgical care in Clearwater Florida.
