Infusion Nurse RN

Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion Nurse NurseCore is currently hiring Registered Nurses (RN) with Infusion experience for our Specialty Staffing division . NurseCore has a national footprint in Home Health, with branches hiring for Specialty Staffing in the area of Syracuse, New York and the surrounding area. Responsibilities: Qualified nurses must possess critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. One year of experience in infusion nursing and home health experience is preferred. Provides quality in-home care and infusions as defined within the scope of practice by the Nurse Practice Act. Administration and self-administration teaching of specialty pharmacy infusion therapies and injectables to patients with rare, chronic, and acute diseases in the home setting, infusion suites, or physicians' offices. Proficient in accessing and maintaining SPC/PIV/Midlines, CVAD (PICC/Implanted Ports), SCIG, phlebotomy, and lab processing. Follows proper infection control measures. Coordinates the planning for delivery of nursing care with the Director of Nursing and administers appropriate clinical decisions in the delivery of patient care. Proactively updates client/patients’ POC, health changes, and other related incidents. Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific differences in the patient population, including physiological and developmental differences unique to each group. Ensures safe care to patients; adheres to all policies, procedures, and standards, including time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service Willingness to travel within the assigned geographic region. Flexibility to work alternate shifts on short notice and can be on call for field visits as determined by business needs. Administers CPR and other emergency procedures, as necessary. Qualifications: Licensed as a Registered Nurse through the State Board of Nursing is required. Home health experience preferred – Can perform assessments, wound care, medication management, and infusions. Minimum of two years medical, surgical, or critical care/ER experience preferred. Minimum of one year of recent infusion experience preferred. NurseCore Home Care is building a small pool of dependable CNAs to step in when coverage is needed. This is per diem, as-needed work with no guaranteed hours, so assignments may vary from week to week. We’re looking for CNAs who are readily available and have broad availability, including weekday overnights, weekend days and weekend overnights. We may have some daytime shifts come up, but candidates available only during weekday daytime hours may not be a good fit.
