EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. · All newly hired or transferred RNs who do not hold a BSN (or higher nursing degree) and have less than one year of RN experience must provide proof of acceptance into an accredited BSN (or higher nursing degree) program within 15 months of hire or transfer into a Graduate Nurse or Registered Nurse role. The program must be completed within five (5) years of enrollment. This requirement does not apply to non-BSN hires who already hold a bachelor's or graduate degree in a field other than nursing. · Direct-entry BSN or MSN students who have not yet completed their nursing degree at the time of hire are not exempt, even if they hold bachelor's or graduate degrees in another field. · RNs who enroll in an MSN, DNP, or PhD in Nursing program may meet this requirement through that program. If a BSN is awarded as part of the program, it must be completed within five (5) years of enrollment.
