What You'll Be Doing The Registered Nurse (RN) Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department (ED) to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. The ability to triage safely, rapidly and accurately, every patient that enters the ED. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the department. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care. The RN assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team. A minimum of 8 hours of education every two years in basic trauma assessment intervention and stabilization.
