Description UNC Medical Center is hiring New Grad Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery Unit team! This is a 36 hour/week position, day/night and weekend rotating, with flexible preferred scheduling. This position qualifies for an extensive benefit package. Attaching a resume showing clinical rotations with the hours of those rotations, as well as a cover letter indicating your primary area of clinical interest is strongly encouraged. Our Labor & Delivery Unit is a Level III referral center, which provides care to both normal and high-risk laboring and ante partum patients. Approximately 4,200 babies are born each year at UNC Medical Center. Several thousand patients are also seen in its triage area. In addition, our providers and staff perform numerous high-risk procedures such as vaginal and cerclage placements, amniocentesis and versions as well as various fetal procedures, including IUTs, fetal shunt placements and exit procedures. The unit consists of 15 labor and delivery rooms, 5 triage rooms, a 2-bed recovery room, and 3 operating rooms. What you can expect Location: 2301 Erwin Rd, Durham, NC 27710 The Peds Transplant & Cellular Therapy unit, DCT 4A, is comprised of 17 beds and serves a blended patient population of pediatric transplant, cell therapy and general pediatric oncology, with an emphasis on high-risk oncology. Our team is active in delivering exemplary care for each patient to ensure an excellent patient experience, every time. The DCT 4A team cares for oncology and sickle cell patients, as well as patients with metabolic and genetic disorders.
