Additional Information About the Role Hours for this position are 1900–0730. The Vascular Access Service provides care to both inpatient and outpatient populations at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The team utilizes both traditional IV insertion techniques and advanced ultrasound-guided technology to place peripheral IVs (PIVs), midlines, and peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC lines). Training is provided during orientation to develop competency in the use of ultrasound for vascular access device placement.
