Principal Responsibilities · Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty and documents information accurately · Assists with lifting, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc. · Assists residents in ambulation with or without self-help devices as instructed · Accurately measures and records temperatures, pulses, respirations, and blood pressures (TPRs and B/P) as instructed · Ensures that residents’ personal care needs are being met in accordance with residents’ wishes · Maintains cleanliness of resident units, central bathing area, treatment and supply rooms, workrooms, and linen closets; cleans bedpans, urinals, and commodes; washes basins and emesis basins; sanitizes bathtub after each resident’s use; cleans floors if resident is incontinent; wipes spilled foods and liquids · Advises charge nurse of resident(s) condition beginning and end of shift · Ability to comply with Company and departmental safety policies and procedures · Account for personal care (i.e. Grooming, bathing, catheter care, and dressing), and observation of residents within patient care guidelines. Identify and report any condition requiring management attention · Provides hydration to all residents according to center policy · Ensures all protected health information is kept confidential · Reports all allegations of resident abuse, neglect and/or misappropriation of resident property · Provides range of motion exercise · Assures that residents are positioned appropriately for meals · Serves food trays and assists with feeding as indicated · Delivers and documents all a.m., p.m., and bedtime snacks and supplements · Performs miscellaneous tasks as required by policy or nurse supervisor Physical Demands – Office While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
