The Dermatology Clinic at Stony Point cares for dermatology patients across all ages with varying disease processes from acne to transplant patients to skin cancer cases. Our clinic provides skin services such as phototherapy, blue light therapy and Mohs surgery. All of our clinical staff, RNs, LPN and CMAs, completes the Certified Dermatology Tech course and has the opportunity to work in the clinic’s surgical area with our Mohs surgeon. Our surgical nurses are also being trained to do local anesthesia numbing, a training that will continue to expand to other nursing staff! Our clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm with morning and afternoon clinic hours offering several options for scheduling. Our team members enjoy free onsite parking at our Stony Point campus. The LPN job commences to integrate technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the needs of the patient and family. This role assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. This role also provides direction, education, and begins to assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level. The LPN job delivers and accurately documents direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care.
