Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing the individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients’ health through the nursing process. Provides patient and family health education based on assessed needs for indicated health conditions, medications, overall wellness, and directions for follow up care. Adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and quality control methods. All other duties assigned by department. Overview The Registered Nurse Float I provides individualized nursing care services within the standards of nursing practice: assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, evaluation, and patient health education. This Registered Nurse will float between the ICU, CVU and Med/Surg units. Responsibilities Perform accurate and complete assessments on patients within established time frames; requests consult as indicated. Establishes and updates a patient plan of care based on periodic assessments.
