Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a per diem RN (Registered Nurse) to work the night shift within Princeton House Behavioral Health (PHBH). This position is within Behavioral Health Float. The RN will be floated to multiple units. Our inpatient psychiatric services provide short-term stabilization and treatment for mental health disorders. We provide care in a secure calm environment where patients can focus on healing. Daily psychiatrist visits and around-the-clock medical supervision help patients on their journey to better mental health. Location: Princeton House Behavioral Health (905 Herrontown Road Princeton NJ). Key Roles and Responsibilities: Develops and maintains a plan of nursing care based on goals derived from identified needs; revises the patients individualized plan of care as indicated Implements individualized nursing plan of care, consistent with established policies, procedures, and protocols Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing care, and participates in evaluating and improving the delivery of care on the unit Demonstrates accuracy in entering medication orders on the computer and medication administration Provides appropriate coordination of care and intervention to patients undergoing a psychiatric or medical emergency Scheduling Requirements (Tier 2): The night shift is considered 11pm-7am. Work a minimum of four shifts, including one weekend per 4-week schedule (Consecutive Saturday/Sunday). Two holidays per year (1 minor and 1 major). One difficult to staff days per year. What We Require for this Role: Education Bachelor’s degree required, or in pursuit of A registered nurse with an Associate’s Degree with greater than 5 years of clinical experience in a clinical specialty may be considered. Related Work Experience 15 months of RN experience required Psych experience preferred. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
