Position Summary: The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model. Minimum Qualifications For Hire: 2- year College Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program is required. Additional Information: Harding Hospital at the OSU Wexner Medical Center offers adult and geriatric in-patient program with 84 beds and provides emergency stabilization, diagnosis and the initial stages of treatment for those requiring inpatient care. Patient-centered, trauma-informed care is supported by an interdisciplinary team with a strong focus on staff and patient safety, clinical excellence, and professional growth. Harding Float Pool staff supports 84 inpatient beds across 4 psychiatric units with varying adult populations with diagnoses ranging from schizoaffective/ schizophrenia to mood disorders to anxiety.
