Our surgical services span locations such as Baptist Jacksonville, Baptist South, Baptist Clay, Baptist Beaches , and Wolfson Children’s Hospital , with high-acuity cases, advanced technology, and supportive, team-based environments. 🏥 About the Role: As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room , you will serve as a Circulating Nurse , working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure safe and efficient intra-operative care. Job Posting Summary ***Eligible for up to $10,000 Sign-on Bonus *** We are looking for Surgical Technologists (CSTs) to join our dynamic surgical services teams across multiple campuses in the Jacksonville, Florida area. We have full-time opportunities available in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), Neurosurgery, and General Surgery at all locations, including Baptist Medical Center South, Baptist Jacksonville (Downtown), Baptist Beaches, Baptist Clay, and Baptist Nassau . A surgical technologist in this role will work as part of the surgical services and operating room teams in the Main OR. The individual will assist the surgical team during surgeries, ensure a sterile environment, hand instruments to surgeons during procedures, and maintain patient safety. Between surgeries, the individual will clean and restock the operating room. Throughout the day, precision, attention to detail, and teamwork are paramount in providing quality patient care. As a Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities and qualifications will include: Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly Proper disposition of specimens and instruments Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety Call is required Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program OR - Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program preferred NBSTA or NCCT, but not required This is a great opportunity to work at one of Northeast Florida’s most respected health systems.
