Participate in report at the beginning and end of shifts to assure proper information about residents is communicated. Assist in the admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, assure that physician orders for diets, therapy, medication, etc. are transcribed and communicated according to procedure. Level Descriptor Levels are distinguished based on the complexity of assigned duties, the level of expertise required for completion of work assignments, and the responsibility assigned for the supervision of others. This is the specialist level of the job family where employees are assigned responsibility for performing the more complex nursing tasks and may serve as lead worker.
