DEFINITION: Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment for all age groups. Collects data and reports any unexpected findings to the charge nurse. EDUCATION: Certified Nurse Aide – As required by the Certification Board of Oklahoma REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE): Current Basic Life Support. The health center nurse is responsible for: meeting the established Standards of Nurse Care, managing any assigned personnel and promoting collaboration among the disciplines. The health center nurse is accountable to the Health Center Medical Director, Executive Director, patient and family for all nursing behavior. Patient population includes: all age groups to include children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. EDUCATION: Completion of a Medical Assistant program. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE): Must provide a transcript or diploma of completion of a medical assistant program. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: One to two years nursing experience in a physician’s office, preferably primary care. DEFINITION: Under the direction of the Registered Nurse the surgical technologist assist in the delivery of patient care as a member of the surgical team and assumes appropriate responsibility for delivery of that care before, during and after surgery. CERTIFIED REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE): Certificate of graduation from a School of Surgical Technology. Certification as a Surgical Technician. DEFINITION: Develop and implement total nursing care for patients by assessment, nursing diagnosis, patient care plans, provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Develop systems to provide care to a population including infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE): Authorized to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma. Current Basic Life Support. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: BSN. DEFINITION: A Licensed Practical Nurse who cares for patients who are convalescent, aged, or infirm; or when caring for acutely ill patients in a home environment does so under the direction of a Registered Nurse. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE): Authorized to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Oklahoma. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of medical-surgical experience preferred. May consider school attendance record and performance record. Some positions may require additional skills or credentials. Have a command of the English language; have knowledge of nursing procedures, treatment and techniques, and must know basic charting procedures. Must be CPR certified on an annual basis. Should have qualifications and abilities similar to those personnel providing comparable services in the hospital.
