License Practical Nurse Adolescent Male Crisis Stabilization Unit-Towson, 36 hours/week, Day/Evening

Every nurse on the Adolescent Male Crisis Stabilization Unit is provided the tools they need to be successful. What to expect. Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician. Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families. Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. Document and report patient progress to treatment team. What you’ll get from us. Under direct supervision of the registered nurse provides direct patient care to assigned patients. Education Knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through an accredited school of nursing. Experience One-year acute care experience preferred Skills · Interpersonal skills, communication (verbal and written) are required in order to instruct and comfort patients and their families and maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel and maintain appropriate/adequate documentation. · Ability to perform and plan professional nursing care resolving complex patient care problems and dealing with patients and their families often during stressful situations.
