PRN, Days Shift, 10 hour shifts GENERAL SUMMARY: Corewell Health East – Royal Oak is seeking a dedicated PRN Advanced Practice Provider to join our robust Inpatient Transplant Nephrology Service. Under the general guidance of the medical director, the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with diseases and adverse health conditions following the written guidelines approved by the department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Serve as the daytime first point of contact for the WBUH transplant nephrology service. Maintain and update the transplant surgery patient list daily, incorporating overnight events, new consults, and emergency admissions. Perform evaluations and comprehensive chart reviews for complex transplant patients. Prepare and present organized patient summaries and care recommendations during daily attending rounds. Identify, order, and monitor appropriate pharmacologic agents in accordance with clinical guidelines, transplant pharmacist recommendations and patient needs. Order and interpret appropriate imaging and laboratory studies to support clinical decision-making and patient care planning. Participation in daily multidisciplinary rounds with transplant surgery, transplant nephrology, hepatology, pharmacy and nutrition. Provide transplant education and discharge instructions Complete documentation and billing in compliance with hospital standards. Coordinate and discuss patient care with consulting services, ensuring collaborative and comprehensive treatment planning. STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS Education / Training: Master's Degree in Nursing OR a Masters in Physician Assistant studies Work Experience : One (1) year of experience in transplant nephrology or general nephrology as a PA/NP, inpatient experience preferred. Job Summary The CNM hired for this position will work variable shifts at Troy Hospital and William Beaumont University Hospital. Shifts are primarily 12 hours and will be assigned in the OB Emergency Department at both hospitals and Labor & Delivery (WBUH only). Shifts will primarily be midnights, other shifts as need, and will include weekends. The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)-II is an advanced practice nurse who provides full scope midwifery care. The CNM provides care to the patient which is delivered during the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods. The CNM also provides care to the gynecologic patient in the clinic/office setting. High risk patients are cared for in consultation and collaboration with the medical team. The practice setting for the CNM-II will be in the Outpatient Clinic, contractually with Obstetrician's offices, the Natural Birth Center, the Family Birth Center Triage and LDRs and the Post Partum unit with the focus on enhancement of clinical care, patient satisfaction, and safety. Clinical care may include first assisting in OB surgical cases. Essential Functions Clinical Practice: The CNM provides clinical services and management of mothers and babies as defined in the standing orders, policies, procedures and protocols for the CNM. Responsibilities The MAT Nurse Practitioner plays a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality care that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to: Provide comprehensive Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services for incarcerated individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), with a primary focus on buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone). Conduct initial and ongoing clinical assessments for OUD, including substance use history, withdrawal evaluation, psychiatric and medical comorbidities, and readiness for treatment. Initiate, continue, adjust, and monitor Suboxone therapy in accordance with evidence-based guidelines, DEA regulations, and correctional health policies. Manage induction, stabilization, maintenance, and tapering phases of MAT as clinically indicated. Collaborate closely with correctional healthcare staff, custody staff, mental health providers, and substance use counselors to ensure coordinated, safe, and effective care. Monitor patient adherence, response to treatment, and potential diversion risks within a correctional setting. Provide patient education on OUD, MAT, relapse prevention, overdose risk, and continuity of care upon release. Participate collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans that address medical, behavioral health, and social determinants of health. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record, including MAT-specific reporting and regulatory requirements. Participate in discharge planning and continuity-of-care coordination, including referrals to community-based MAT providers upon release. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
