It is a busy community hospital and level 2 trauma center that maintains high quality acute MI and stroke certification programs. We were recently approved for brand new 65 bed Emergency Department (currently in the construction phase). Lynchburg General also has a behavioral health space that was just completed in summer of 2023 . While you will have a primary location (LGH/BMH/CGMC/CSCH), you would be expected to rotate between all four locations.
