These disorders can include urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other conditions that affect the pelvic floor and bladder. This provider is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing pelvic floor disorders in women. This role involves in-office treatments, patient education, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals including urogynecology physician, to provide comprehensive care.Responsibilities • Diagnose and treat pelvic floor disorders such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and fecal incontinence. • Refer diagnosed urogynecologic surgical procedures to practice Urogynecologists • Develop and implement treatment plans that may include medication, physical therapy, and lifestyle modifications. • Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options. • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and multidisciplinary teams, including primary care physicians, physical therapists, Urogynecologists, and other specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Stay updated on the latest advancements in urogynecology. • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. • Participate in practice call coverage as required. • Order radiologic imaging or labs as indicated. • Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) inclusive of direct patient encounters and asynchronous care. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and interdisciplinary team meetings. Provides a full range of emergency services or crises interventions in the absence of the physician, including life-saving emergency procedures to stabilize a patient within the scope of practice and approved protocols. Writes prescriptions, orders the administration of medications, dispenses medications, and prescribes controlled substance per scope of practice. The Nurse Practitioners performs a variety of physical examinations including but not limited to: school, employment, sports, retirement, discharge, reenlistment, disability separation, or retirement, annual and other special physicals, health certificate employment and other related physical examinations. Serve as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) for Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) at Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM). The APRN performs a variety of complex duties involving the full range of medical care that involves isolating and defining unknown medical conditions. Assignments include a wide range of activities including assessing, planning, evaluating and modifying the treatment of patients in various locations throughout the MTF. Provide independent, primary, comprehensive and therapeutic health care services, to include examining, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in the OB-GYN Clinic. Identify and manage, according to outlined protocols, own case load of antepartum and postpartum patients, and those with gynecologic problems: counsel on menopausel, infertility, contraceptive and related health concerns. See unscheduled walk-in patients at specified times for identification and management of acute minor gynecologic or obstetric illnesses. See patients with abnormal pap screens.
