Description Job Description The UCSF Bayfront Operating Room (OR) consists of 14 surgical suites and 2 procedural rooms with 23 hours surgical stay facility. Our primary focus is multidisciplinary team-based approach and staffing, advanced technology, including integrated suites and robotic surgery. Services include, but are not limited to: Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck (OHNS), Urology, Gynecology, Plastics, Pain Service, MIS Spine, General, OMFS, and Robotics. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum two years of recent RN clinical experience in an adult operation room in an out-patient setting. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. Possession of the legal requirements to practice as a Registered Nurse as determined by the California Board of Registered Nursing and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. Proficiency ability to independently circulate all case types within at least three of the following services:Ophthalmology/Cornea/Retina,GYN/Robotic,GU/Robotic,GeneralSurgery/Robotic, OHNS/Airway, MIS SPINE. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION BSN CNOR Proficient in Scrubbing role in at least 2 of the services listed above. Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
