Provides oversight of all patient care services and personnel. Oversight includes making patient and personnel assignments, coordinating patient care, coordinating referrals, assuring patient needs are continually assessed, and assuring the development, implementation, and updates to the individualized patient plan of care. Ensures the timely start of patient care within recommended regulatory guidelines. Reviews and approves plan of care and evaluates proposed changes to the plan of care for clinical appropriateness.
