The Clinical Nurse Educator assists with educational needs assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of unit-based clinical education for primary staff in assigned clinical areas. The educator will support all unit based educational activities such as onboarding new personnel, in-service education and continuing education programs for all UMC Clinics. Your Everyday Education: Assists with the coordination, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical education in the assigned clinical areas. Provides oversight of all new clinical practices and reinforces current practices and processes with clinicians in the assigned clinical areas, establishing competency when appropriate. Assist and provides direction to nursing staff with clinical decision-making and priority setting, utilizing critical thinking skills. Leadership: Collaborates with clinical staff nurses, unit directors/managers, Department of Nursing Education & Professional Development, and other members of the health care team to assure clinician performance meets established evidence-based standards; ensuring patient safety and quality is maintained.
