The APRN may practice only as prescribed in their job description, and as defined in the SGMC credentialing process. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Graduate of an accredited, post-basic educational program for nurse practitioners. Georgia Nurse Practitioner License Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Maintains biennial renewal of Board Authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner. CPR Certification ACLS Certification within 180 days of employment. Preferably at least four years of health care employment. Flexible in work schedule, assignments, workloads, setting priorities and utilizing problem solving techniques. Ability to analyze regulations, standards, clinical issues, and patient outcomes. Excellent verbal, written, and behavioral communication skills. WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION Works primarily in hospital setting, including clinical/patient care areas. Considerable walking, standing, stooping, bending, lifting (occasionally in excess of fifty (50) pounds).
