Job Description: Surgical Tech Student This position is responsible for performing surgical tech/central sterile tech tasks and related tech service duties under the direction of the OR Manager and/or Circulating Nurse. Duties include, but are not limited to: preparing OR rooms with instruments, sutures and other supplies and equipment, performs as a scrub tech according to procedure standards, assists in needle, sponge and instrument counts with RN. Assist with other duties as outlined by the OR Manager and/or Circulating Nurse. Duties/Responsibilities: Setting up the instruments and equipment that is required for the procedure Sterilizing equipment and taking an inventory to ensure there are enough supplies for surgery Preparing the patient for surgery Passing the Surgeon instruments and sterile supplies throughout the operation Taking a count of all surgical instruments and supplies prior to the operation Recounting surgical instruments and supplies at the end of the operation Maintaining an overall sterile environment throughout the surgery
CNA Position Purpose: The primary purpose of your job description is to participate in the basic nursing care of the patient from admission through discharge and to perform non-nursing functions. Non-nursing duties will include but not limited to performing CNA duties, keeping rooms clean and stocked, clerical duties as assigned, answering phones and relaying messages appropriately. This position is responsible to the nurses, Charge Nurse, and manager. Requirements: Education - High School Graduate or GED Experience: Minimum - Up to 1 year of job related experience Maximum - 2 - 5 years of recent related experience Licenses/Certificates - Certified Nursing Assistant - State of GA or Medical Assistant Certification - or - equivalent education as a Nursing Student for those nursing students actively enrolled in a nursing program (i.e. 1st Semester of basic nursing skills completed with skills checklist verified) - BLS - Obtain within 60 days of hire.
LOCATION: UNION COUNTY NURSING HOME The Infection Control Nurse is responsible for planning, administering and monitoring systems and procedures related to the prevention, detection and control of infections within the nursing home. This position also oversees the Employee Health Program. The Infection Control Nurse directs education, training, and orientation programs for nursing home personnel related to Infection Prevention/Employee Health. This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nurse; Associate Degree in Nursing; or Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing; or LPN Diploma. Experience desired: At least 3 years of staff nurse experience in an acute care facility or long-term care facility. License: Registered Nursing License by the State of Georgia; or Licensed Practical Nurse License and current CPR Certification.

Job Description: The Triage Nurse conducts initial assessments to evaluate how urgently a patient needs care. They ask questions, check vital signs and coordinate care with other medical professionals, such as nurses and physicians. Duties & Responsibilities: The primary focus of a Triage Nurse is to ensure that the patients who are most in need of care receive it first and that other members of the care team are ready to begin treatments as quickly as possible. They perform many duties, including: Interviewing patients to gather information about their medical history and current symptoms Checking patient height, weight, blood pressure and temperature Collecting urine samples, throat cultures and other samples as needed to expedite care Assigning a triage priority based on the findings of the interview and exam Communicating with physicians, nurses and other members of the care team about patients’ statuses Updating patient health information systems with notes Staying up to date on advancements in emergency medicine and urgent care best practices Adhering to standards for infection control, sanitation and patient safety and confidentiality Education & Experience: Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing LPN or RN Experience: 1 – 3 years of professional nursing experience preferred Other Requirements: Current state registered nursing license Current CPR certificate (BLS) Current appropriate immunizations to work in the health care field
