Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives. Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization. Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines. Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment. What qualifications you will need: Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred. Current and valid California RN license required. Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in an acute care hospital setting required. BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required. The NICU RNII is responsible for working in a team environment using a multidisciplinary approach to providing nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning implementation and evaluation. The individualized patient care is delivered in a safe, supportive, caring and family centered environment. The RN is also responsible for supervising, coordinating and delegating personnel who participate in the provision of care to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met. Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year current NICU Level III experience is required.
