Performs environmental cleaning and equipment quality control and maintenance per department procedures. Identifies, verbally evaluates, and reports identified reaction changes in the stated physical and mental conditions of patients per department protocol. Adheres to the code of professional nursing. Maintains current and thorough knowledge of nursing practices and procedures. Participates in and obtains continuing education classes and programs consistent with the level and area of practice including but not limited to: Chest tube competency Monitor/Defibrillator competency Hemodynamic Education Central-Line Education Wound-Vac Education Provides individual instruction and education to patients and families concerning health and medical needs per department protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).
