JOB SUMMARY: The Nurse Practitioner (NP), Acute Care delivers primary care to patients, including those in the complex and chronically ill population. Works collaboratively with their department of medicine specialty and any Inpatient unit, with the exception of patients defined as Critical Care (NICU, PICU, CTICU) and under the care of an Intensive Care Unit (ICU)-credentialed physician. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent education required 2 years of experience Completion of a Medical Assistant Course is required Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by American Heart Association Knowledge of healthcare operations and workflows PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree 3 years of experience Bilingual English/Spanish Certified Medical Assistant Completion of blood draw training and competency Advanced knowledge of medical terminology; experience with data entry and clinical computer systems More than one year of Pediatric experience in inpatient, outpatient, or long-term care setting The current salary range for this position is $24.26 to $33.36 Rady Children’s Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
