Position Summary St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center is seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Comprehensive Congestive Heart Failure Program. The APP will provide advanced, evidence-based care to patients with acute and chronic heart failure across all stages of disease severity, including complex and advanced therapies. This role practices collaboratively with board-certified Heart Failure Cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and multidisciplinary specialists to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate inpatient care. Program Overview The Center for Advanced Cardiac Therapeutics offers comprehensive management for patients with weakened heart muscles and advanced heart failure, including expertise in: Advanced medical heart failure therapy LVAD and VAD management ECMO support Cardio-oncology Cardiac amyloidosis and sarcoidosis Pulmonary hypertension Cardiogenic shock Structural heart disease (in partnership with the Heart Valve Center) Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inpatient evaluations of patients with acute decompensated and chronic congestive heart failure. Diagnose and manage systolic and diastolic heart failure. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Manage guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT). Provide care for patients requiring advanced therapies including LVAD, VAD, and ECMO. Assist in the management of cardiogenic shock and complex cardiac conditions.
