Job Summary The Unit-Based Educator, under the supervision of the Director, Manager, or designee, is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical education and professional development initiatives within a designated unit or department. This position aims to enhance clinical competencies, promote evidence-based practices, and improve patient outcomes by collaborating with department leaders and staff to align education with organizational and departmental goals. The Unit-Based Educator also facilitates orientation programs, maintains compliance with regulatory training, and serves as a clinical resource for staff. Essential Functions Collaborates with staff, department leaders, and administration to assess training needs and design learner-focused educational experiences that address these requirements. Develops, implements, and evaluates unit-based orientation programs for new staff, ensuring their seamless integration into the team and adherence to clinical best practices. Maintains and monitors training and certification records for unit staff, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements. Serves as a resource for staff seeking guidance on clinical practices, evidence-based care, and skill development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
