Responsibilities: A Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse performs routine medical procedures that may be required for handicapped students to function in the public schools and medical support services as prescribed for students in their individual education plan (IEP). Evaluates referred students as part of a school assessment to determine illness and/or handicapping conditions, assists in record keeping that is required for each student, administers prescribed medications to students as per school policy and provides first aid services as needed. The LPN assists in the implementation of the school health policy as prescribed by the Board, communicates pertinent student health information to staff and records health related information regarding immunizations, disease, and injuries as directed. Will assist the school health nurse in ordering and maintaining adequate medical supplies and perform all duties as assigned by the school health nurse, building administrator or superintendent. Qualifications: BLS, currently licensed in the State of Ohio, previous experience as an RN or LPN preferred.
Responsibilities: A Registered Nurse (RN) renders personal and professional care for patients. Uses a systematic approach to assess patient’s needs, plan care, provide quality/direct care, coordination of care and evaluate care in an efficient, safe environment. The RN facilitates collaboration amongst a variety of disciplines in order to provide a unified and seamless approach to care delivery. This position is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing practice, for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. Patient advocacy, patient safety, and improving health status are priorities when the RN develops the plan of care. Qualifications: Currently licensed in the State of Ohio as an RN. BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS and CPI certifications currently held or must be obtained. Prior-nursing experience preferred.
