Graduate of accredited school for Licensed Practical Nurses with current Ohio LPN license or graduate from an accredited school for Medical Assistants. BLS certification required. Previous experience as an LPN or Medical Assistant in a hospital setting preferred. A Licensed Practical Nurse/MA performs a wide variety of activities, as directed by the Registered Nurse. Responsible for general office duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, referrals, ordering supplies, calling in prescriptions, etc. Assists physicians in providing direct patient care. This position is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing practice for managing supplies and equipment with the direction of the RN in charge, and for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments .
