Registered Nurse - Adult Co-Occurring Disorders

Schedule: 36 hours weekly, with rotating weekends. Type: In Person. The Adult Co-Occurring Disorders Unit is a 22 bed unit offering rapid evaluation with medical and psychiatric intervention. A track for adults with concurrent chemical dependency provides brief crisis intervention with a physician until the patient can be transferred to a lower level of care. As a Staff Nurse you will: Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician. Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families. Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. Document and report patient progress to treatment team. Requirements: Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position. Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of nursing-acquired through at least one year of inpatient RN experience; prior LPN inpatient experience will be considered with every one year of LPN experience equating to 6 months RN experience All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment. What we need from you. Must hold current registered nurse (RN) licensure to practice in Maryland at the time of appointment and maintain licensure throughout the duration of employment. Candidates residing in a compact state may apply with a multistate license and must obtain a Maryland RN license within 60 days of relocation. Registered Nurse, Hospital Operations Supervisor

As a Hospital Operations Supervisor you will: Oversees or shares oversight of hospital-wide nursing services during evening, night or weekend shifts. Reviews shift reports from preceding shifts to be apprised of activity and issues; makes rounds or collaboratively manages rounds coverage to assure the quality of nursing services on all units. Monitors high risk and complicated cases and institutes appropriate actions when in-the-moment decisions are needed. May reassign and reallocate nursing resources to meet building needs. In this position you will: Provide leadership, direction, and coordination, either through appropriate delegation or directly, to the 24-hour operation of assigned service line inpatient units. Monitor the sound fiscal management of assigned units and programs and their compliance with the requirements of licensing, regulatory, and accrediting bodies. Establish and maintain a clinical environment that enables programs to meet or exceed budgeted census, is proactive and responsive to changes in patient acuity and census, makes appropriate adjustments to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment of care, and fosters staff training, growth, and retention. Requirements: Position requires a thorough knowledge of nursing, nursing management, and psychiatric nursing, comprehensive knowledge of licensing, regulatory, and accreditation practices and requirements, general administrative and human resources theory, resource and program planning, and clinical care practices - acquired through completion of a Master's degree in Nursing or appropriate area plus 5-7 years of progressively more responsible clinical care experience, including at least 3 years of management experience. Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse to practice in the State of Maryland at the time of appointment and continuously while in position.
