Position Overview: The Transportation Aide is responsible for the safe transportation of residents to and from the facility during approved activities to pre-determined destinations Key Responsibilities: • Operate the facility’s vehicle in a safe manner when transporting residents. • Assists the residents when on-boarding and off-boarding the vehicle. • Ensures the residents’ safe arrival to the pre-determined destination and the facility. • Maintains route and mileage logs. • Monitors routine vehicle safety conditions including fuel and vital fluid levels. • Reports any vehicle problems, or maintenance needs to the Executive Director immediately. • Ensures that all vehicle passengers follow safety procedures, including fastening seat belts, prior to moving the van. • Interacts in a positive manner with the residents and visitors as a representative of the facility. Qualifications: • Must be 21 years of age or older. • Excellent driving record. • Must be CPR Certified, certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing • Certified Nursing Assistant certificate current and in good standing; CNA certificate preferred but not required. Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Majestic Care of Fairfield is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team's mission and believe in our core values! Position Overview: The CNA is a member of the community nursing team whose responsibility is to assist professional nursing personnel by delivering direct hands-on nursing care to ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents on a daily basis. The CNA is also responsible for assisting the residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible. Key Responsibilities: • To perform or assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL). • Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy. • Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby and activities). • Report any significant findings/observations to nurse immediately. • Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to make a smooth transition. • Responsible for the safekeeping of residents’ personal possessions. • Keep resident rooms neat and safe. • Follow proper infection control techniques • Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality. • Re-teach resident to perform ADL skills. • Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications. • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensures follow-up occurs. • Converse with resident and family; assist them on adjustment to the community. • Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident; report deviations from norm to the Charge Nurse promptly. • Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output and weights accurately. Qualifications: • Certified and state tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.
