Key Responsibilities: Assist Registered Nurses during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of patient care. Monitor and care for patients before and after surgery. Position Overview The Scrub Technician plays a critical role in supporting vascular surgeons and the clinical team during complex endovascular and interventional procedures. Working in our Brooklyn Office-Based Laboratory (OBL), the Scrub Tech assists with procedures such as angiograms, venograms, prostate artery embolization (PAE), genicular artery embolization (GAE), and other minimally invasive vascular interventions. This position ensures the sterile field is properly maintained, all instruments are prepared and accounted for, and that the surgical team is supported in achieving safe and efficient case flow. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical field for all vascular and interventional procedures. Anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instruments and supplies throughout the case. Assist with the setup and breakdown of procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and properly functioning. Handle surgical instruments and devices in accordance with aseptic technique. Monitor and maintain the integrity of sterile supplies and report any issues immediately. Assist in transferring patients to and from the procedure table as directed. Support intraoperative imaging procedures, including manipulation of C-arm, guidewires, and catheters under physician supervision. Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps before, during, and after each case. Assist with stocking, inventory control, and reprocessing of surgical instruments and equipment. Uphold all infection control, OSHA, and facility safety protocols. Collaborate with nursing and physician teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and workflow efficiency. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing vascular and interventional radiology procedures, with a focus on sedation management, monitoring, and post-procedure recovery . This role is critical in ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal clinical outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Administer and monitor moderate sedation during interventional radiology procedures. Continuously assess and document patient vital signs, sedation levels, and overall status. Provide post-procedure recovery care , ensuring a smooth and safe transition from sedation to full consciousness. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care, discharge instructions, and follow-up plans. Collaborate with interventional radiologists and the medical team to optimize patient care. Maintain accurate documentation of sedation administration, patient responses, and recovery progress.
