Metro Infusion Center (Affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner for supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a PRN basis to work at the clinic located in Albuquerque, NM. Participates in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with facility. Agree to cover any clinic as needed per direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations. Supports professional practice by observing the following: Uses knowledge and practices in accordance with 1) Standards of Nursing Practice; 2) JCAHO, state and local laws; 3) MIDC policy. Other duties and tasks as assigned Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Nurse Practitioner experience, preferably in an infusion related setting INFUSION EXPERIENCE Chemo experience is preferred, but not required Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will work with the collaborating physician in an active inpatient practice to deliver health care services to our patients. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner shall consult with the collaborating physician by telecommunication or in person as needed. In the absence of the designated collaborating physician, another physician shall be available for consultation. Location: Birmingham, AL (providing local hospital support) Schedule: Full-Time (Monday-Friday) + One Weekend/Month Specific Duties 1. Will work with the collaborating physician in an active inpatient and outpatient practice to deliver health care services to our patients. 2. Diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health problems. 3. Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic treatment. 4. Monitors the effectiveness of interventions. 5. Ordering, interpreting and performing laboratory and radiology tests. 6. Prescribing medications, including controlled substances, to the extent delegated. 7. Performing other therapeutic or corrective measures as indicated. Graduation from an accredited school Current AL PA license or AL NP license Two years’ experience, preferably in an infectious disease field.
