This internship focuses on supporting the management and maintenance of storage infrastructure, including both physical and virtual storage systems, to meet the organization’s data needs. The intern will assist with developing and maintaining backup and storage plans to ensure data integrity, availability, and reliable access to business-critical information. Responsibilities include assisting with software upgrades, applying system patches, supporting the physical security of stored data, and helping monitor and optimize storage architecture and performance. As part of the role, the intern will work on projects such as verifying and implementing backup software and systems to strengthen data protection and recovery processes. They will also assist with the administration, maintenance, and installation of storage systems to improve reliability and efficiency across the environment. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of SAN storage and backup systems, along with familiarity with server operating systems. *Inpatient and/or Ambulatory clinical experience preferred, frequent travel within Allen County and surrounding areas* Summary The PPG Informatics Specialist will be responsible to work with providers, clinical and other staff to optimize usage of EHR through education and implementation of optimal build and/or workflow improvements. Provides education and support in accordance with organization goals, acts as liaison on behalf of provider/clinical EHR needs and implements ongoing tactics for knowledge sustainment. Understands all workflows impacting providers and has a basic understanding of build requirements for the EHR and associated 3rd party applications. Responsible for project planning and collaborates with providers, co-workers, leaders, I/S and other pertinent departments throughout the health system. Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement in application functionality or workflow processes related to electronic health record. Education Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree in nursing, informatics, healthcare or related field; or the equivalent of 8 years of experience in a clinical, healthcare, informatics related setting. Licensure/Certification Must obtain credentials as Epic Credentialed Trainer in relevant EHR modules. Experience Minimum requirement of 4 years experience in clinical/healthcare setting, direct clinical ambulatory/practice experience preferred, EHR experience preferred. Experience with Lean preferred. Other Qualifications Demonstrates clinical understanding in physician practices as well as industry trends/regulations. Ability to understand and address process requirements. Skilled at problem solving, organization, strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to understand complex issues. Demonstrated knowledge of EHR and data analytics preferred. Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal, with providers, co-workers, executives, technical teams, end users or any other stakeholder.
