*Inpatient and/or Ambulatory clinical experience preferred, frequent travel within Allen County and surrounding areas* Summary The PPG Informatics Specialist will be responsible to work with providers, clinical and other staff to optimize usage of EHR through education and implementation of optimal build and/or workflow improvements. Provides education and support in accordance with organization goals, acts as liaison on behalf of provider/clinical EHR needs and implements ongoing tactics for knowledge sustainment. Understands all workflows impacting providers and has a basic understanding of build requirements for the EHR and associated 3rd party applications. Responsible for project planning and collaborates with providers, co-workers, leaders, I/S and other pertinent departments throughout the health system. Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement in application functionality or workflow processes related to electronic health record. Education Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree in nursing, informatics, healthcare or related field; or the equivalent of 8 years of experience in a clinical, healthcare, informatics related setting. Licensure/Certification Must obtain credentials as Epic Credentialed Trainer in relevant EHR modules.
