Job Posting Summary *** Eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus *** Baptist Health is looking for a Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of experience to join our Float Team. As a member of the Float Team, you will have the opportunity to work either Full-time or PRN shifts, offering a flexible schedule to accommodate your lifestyle. A PRN candidate is required to work four shifts per month and a full-time candidate is required to work three shifts per week, weekends included for both. All shifts are 10-hour shifts and there is no on-call required. A Surgical Technologist in this position will float between campuses including the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville campus operating room. As a Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities will include: Assembling, organizing, and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures. Working with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and to promote patient safety. This position will be based at various Baptist Health locations. This Medical Laboratory Scientist must be comfortable working at up to 2 campuses and 1 free standing ED. As a Medical LAboratory Scientist II, you will be responsible for: Maintain expertise and perform technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in laboratory areas where applicable. Maintain records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals. Supervised by Director and Section Supervisors; can perform all responsibilities without on-site supervision. Can supervise MLTs as General Supervisor and serve as Charge Technologist in the absence of other lab supervisors or MTs. May instruct new employees and students. License Note: Candidates licensed prior to 1997 are not required to have certification per the State of Florida Licensure rules.
