Minimum Qualifications Completion of a course of study in a registered School of Practical Nursing approved by the New York State Education Department And Either Possession of a license and current registration to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse as issued by the New York State Education Department at time of appointment and maintenance throughout Duration Of Appointment, Or Possession of a limited Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN) permit as issued by the New York State Education Department at time of appointment and Licensed Practical Nurse license within one year and maintenance of license throughout duration of appointment.
