Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Orthopedic

Job Description Nemours in Orlando is seeking a Nurse Practitioner. Come join our Ortho Team! The position will work in our orthopedic clinics, inpatient and operating room. The position is FULL TIME, Monday through Friday, no additional call responsibilities required. This position provides care for pediatric patients, including interviews patients, obtains and records health histories, completes physical and developmental assessments, diagnoses health problems, manages the health care of those patients for which he/she has been educated, provides health care teaching and counseling, initiates referrals and maintains health records in the inpatient and/or outpatient settings. Essential Functions Provides care to pediatric patients as guided by education, clinical expertise and Scope of Practice Agreement, including ambulatory, inpatient (acute) care, surgical first assist and pre- and post-operative management Elicits comprehensive or focused/interval health history Performs complete or interim physical examinations as indicated by the nature of the encounter Orders, performs, and/or interprets diagnostic or screening tests, including laboratory, radiological or other tests within the NP scope of practice Plans interventions including medications, treatments and procedures, and modifies plans based on evaluation of patient response. Initiates, monitors, alters or orders medications related to conditions or illnesses being treated within applicable divisions Requirements Successful completion of Accredited NP program, National Nurse Practitioner Certification within 90 days of employment Florida Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (temp or permanent) required upon hire. Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Orthopedics

Job Description The Department of Orthopedic Surgery is looking for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to work with the Orthopedic team in the outpatient clinic at the Salisbury, MD and Milford, DE locations. This position will be full-time, four 10-hour days . This position functions in collaboration with a multidisciplinary patient care team and is responsible for performing direct patient care services in collaboration with an attending physician and assisting with the overall care of the children receiving services in the outpatient setting. The PA/APRN responsibilities will include: comprehensive patient assessments including history and physical examinations; formulating assessment and treatment plans of pediatric patients; ordering diagnostic tests; performing procedures such as pin removal, suturing and suture removal; splinting and cast application and removal; joint injection or aspiration; manipulative fracture reduction; communicating with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition and results of diagnostic studies; educating parents/caregivers on patient condition and plan of care; triaging and responding to phone calls from patient families, physical therapists, insurance companies, and others regarding patient care; accurately recording patient information in the electronic medical record; communicating effectively with appropriate medical staff for purposes of consultation, referral, and coordination of patient care. The PA/NP must be able to work independently as well as part of multidisciplinary team. Job Description Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida is currently seeking an Acute Care Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to work PRN in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center. Responsibilities include admitting patients from the Pediatric ED, rounding on patients in the PICU, attending trauma alerts in the Pediatric ED, consulting with the pediatric subspecialists, and educating nurses, APPs, medical students and residents. Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac

Job Description The Nemours Cardiac Center of the Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware is looking for a qualified Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Inpatient Cardiac Center! $30,000 Sign-on Bonus and Relocation Bonus are being offered!! The Nemours Cardiac Center (NCC) provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular disease. The Cardiac Center provides patient care, performs research, educates and trains health care professionals in a variety of settings. This individual will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers, dedicating his/her specialized practice to cardiac patients located in either the cardiac intensive care unit, on our telemetry floor or in our post anesthesia cardiac unit (cardiac PACU). The APRN or PA will also be involved with cardiac babies delivered on site in our advanced delivery unit. Our patient population ranges from newborns to young adults with congenital or acquired heart disease. Our surgeons perform all of the complex cardiac repairs, including definitive neonatal surgery, adult congenital surgery, and heart transplantation. They utilize all forms of mechanical support (VAD’s, ECMO, ECLS) as an adjunct to our very active heart failure and pulmonary hypertension service. This position will include working some night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Essential Responsibilities Obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret laboratory data, and prescribe management and medications on patients admitted to our inpatient service. Present patients on rounds, write daily progress notes, collate inpatient records, and complete discharge summaries using the electronic medical record. Assist in the preoperative and postoperative care of surgical patients. Provide continuity of care when coordinating care with other members of the health care team. Attend and present departmental patient care conferences and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Interact with families of our patients, embracing a family centered focus.
