In partnership with the registered nurse, demonstrates leadership in the professional practice setting through oversight of the interdisciplinary health care team to provide holistic care and advocate for patients and families served. Students are responsible for taking the Skills Checklist to the school of nursing for completion. Works under the supervision of a KH RN preceptor. SNIs are directly responsible to the RN for performing basic bedside care and selected nursing procedures.
