Job Summary: Performs basic duties to all age patients in the Emergency Department under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse. Job Responsibilities: Uses effective communication skills with patients, staff, other departments, physicians, families and visitors. Provides age-appropriate and population specific patient care in a safe, skillful, accurate and efficient manner to newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Duties may include but not limited to phlebotomy, transporting patients, obtain vital signs, ekg’s, splinting, catheter placement and other patient care task as assigned.
