Infection Preventionist (LVN) - Full-Time Job Summary: Angels Nursing Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Infection Preventionist (LVN) to join our team. As the Infection Preventionist, you will play a critical role in planning, organizing, developing, coordinating, and directing our infection control program to ensure the highest level of patient safety and care. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and evaluate our infection control program and Antibiotic Stewardship Program in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, and local regulations concerning infection control or universal precautions Develop and maintain infection control precautions and aseptic techniques to correct problem areas Interpret infection control policies and procedures as necessary Maintain a reference library of written infection control material to support daily operations Make written and oral reports to the Administrator as necessary concerning the infection control program Assist all departments in evaluating and classifying routine and job-related functions to ensure proper identification of tasks involving exposure to blood/body fluids Requirements: Primary professional training in nursing, epidemiology, microbiology, medical technology, or a related field Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse by the State of California Advanced nursing degree such as a BSN or equivalent educational background preferred Long-term care nursing experience in a management or auditing role preferred Sub-acute experience preferred Must maintain current licensure in good standing during employment with this facility Physical Demands and Work Environment: The position requires standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and lifting/transferring of residents on a regular basis The noise level in the hospital work environment is usually moderately quiet, with occasional loud outbursts by residents The employee is required to have the ability to express or exchange ideas frequently and understand communication of others with or without adaptive devices Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision insurance Life Insurance Same day pay (Tapcheck) 401(k) Retirement Plan Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) Holiday Pay Paid orientation How to Apply: If you are a dedicated and experienced healthcare professional looking for a new opportunity, please apply for this exciting role.
