Surgical Technologist (Certified) Surgery Center

*****APPLICANTS NEED ONE YEAR OF ST EXPERIENCE TO APPLY***** The Surgery Center has 6 OR's and a procedure room. The Surgery Center strives to meet the surgical needs of the surrounding counties and its physicians by providing compassionate, high quality surgical services ranging from ambulatory procedures to high acuity procedures for adults and pediatrics. Job Summary: The Technician performs assigned preoperative duties to assist the surgical team. Minimum Requirements: Graduate from an approved school of Operating Room Technology or Surgical Technology. Certification in Operating Room Technology or Surgical Technology is preferred. Higher pay grade if certified Must maintain current AH CPR certification. Ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and all others using proper channels of communication. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/ area's/ department's policies and procedures Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.

Job Summary: The Patient Service Representative will have the primary responsibility to greet, instruct, direct, answer phones, and schedule patients. Serve as a liaison between patient and medical support staff. Internal Travel Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist

$72 / hour
JOB SUMMARY : The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, under the supervision of the Cath Lab Manager, Associate Manager and direction of the Cardiologist coordinates the technical and patient care component of cardiac and peripheral angiograms, interventions and other invasive procedures. He/she monitors patients during procedure and records hemodynamics; they also assist the physician in performance of all angiographic, interventional, implants and other cardiac procedures. He/she is responsible for all aspects of patient care in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures. The Angiography Specialist must maintain a positive approach to working in a fast paced environment. Must take emergency call with a 30 minute response time. Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an approved school with an Associate Degree in Radiology Science, Cardiovascular Technology, Professional Nursing, or Emergency Medical Science with Paramedic Certification. Registered by ARRT, RN, RECS or RCIS and two years’ Cath Lab/EP experience required For Paramedics with Associate in Applied Science in ENS with Paramedic Certification, must be registered with RCIS/RCES within 18 months of employment required As a condition of continued employment staff members must maintain current status at all times and not allows his/her certification/licensure/ registry to expire or he or she will no longer be compliant with the requirement of the job description. Once a staff member’s credentialed status has been negated/lost/revoked they will be terminated from their position in accordance with this job description and Human Resources policy 3.11 Able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on this unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients’ status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements to his/her age; specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the departments policies and procedures Maintain BLS certification. ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment and maintain current Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence. *THIS POSITION IS FOR A 13-WEEK CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT* Salary will be $72.00 per hour plus applicable shift differential Contract employees will be assigned to specific divisions. To qualify, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in that specialty area. 40 hours per week/80 hours per pay period 10-hour shifts or unit designated work hours Scheduled based on the needs of the unit This position is temporary and not eligible for benefits Hired for a 13-week contract not to exceed 26 weeks
