***CRNA PRN HAS A FLAT rate of $149.35 per hour*** JOB SUMMARY: A CRNA is an advanced practice specialty within the profession of nursing responsible for giving total anesthesia care to patients requiring anesthesia services. CRNA practice includes pre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation, anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergence, post-anesthetic care, pain management and responding to emergency situations related to airway management and cardiac life support techniques. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of a nurse anesthesia education program accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs or its predecessor. Current license as Registered Nurse by North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) or current compact state license. Current recognition as a CRNA by NCBON. Current AHA ACLS/BLS/PALS certification. Certification/Recertification by National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Current privileges as a CRNA at CarolinaEast. Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this organization and state. Minimum Requirement s: Minimum of an Associate's degree in nursing. Prefer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Minimum five years hospital clinical experience. Must possess strong clinical knowledge of patient care techniques, treatment modalities, and disease processes. Knowledge of utilization review, denial concepts and reimbursement methodologies. Ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team (Physicians, Nursing, Denials Management and Prevention Manager, Care Coordinators, Billing and Finance).
