Possesses knowledge and ability to provide quality care as well as respond to needs within the correctional environment. Maintains standard and ethics of nursing in accordance with applicable State Board of Nursing and other accrediting agencies. Job Qualifications: Graduate from a national or state approved school of nursing program. Holds and maintains a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of employment. American Heart Association BLS certified. Corrections experience a plus. Job Qualifications: BS degree or ADN Holds and maintains licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in the state of employment. Corrections experience preferred. 3-5 years of administrative/supervisory experience preferred. Strong interpersonal, analytical and decision-making skills required. Strong computer skills required, including office software and internet. Provides staffing coverage as needed. Travel throughout Louisiana required. Job Qualifications: Holds and maintains a current license to practice as a RN in the state of employment. BSN preferred. 3-5 years RN experience required, 3-5 years of management experience preferred. American Heart Association BLS required. Must possess knowledge required to develop and implement continuous quality improvement programs and provide leadership and direction for accreditation purposes. Working knowledge of the NCCHC, ACA, and state standards of health care in the correctional environment preferred. Strong communication, training, and leadership skills required.
