Eisner Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our clinical team and provide comprehensive outpatient women’s health care across the lifespan. This is an opportunity to practice with a high degree of autonomy while being supported by an experienced, interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about women’s health, values evidence-based and culturally responsive care, and enjoys building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients. The position focuses on outpatient women's health and gynecologic care and does not include intrapartum or labor and delivery services. We welcome applications from experienced clinicians as well as qualified new graduates who are eager to begin or advance their careers in a mission-driven community health setting. Position Summary The CNM/WHNP provides comprehensive outpatient women's health services from adolescence through menopause, including preventive, reproductive, and gynecologic care. The clinician exercises independent clinical judgment in assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients and collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals when consultation, co-management, or referral is appropriate. Key responsibilities include: Provide comprehensive outpatient women's health, reproductive, and gynecologic care across the lifespan. Provide preventive and routine well-woman care, including health assessments, screening, counseling, and health promotion. Provide contraceptive counseling and family-planning services. Evaluate and manage common gynecologic conditions and reproductive health concerns. Provide prenatal and postpartum care within the clinician’s education, certification, scope of practice, and organizational privileges. Obtain comprehensive medical, gynecologic, and reproductive histories and perform appropriate physical examinations. Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans in partnership with patients. Order, perform, and accurately interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic women's health conditions within scope of practice. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with applicable regulations, organizational policies, and approved formularies. Perform appropriate office-based procedures within training, certification, scope of practice, and organizational privileges. Perform limited obstetric ultrasound, as applicable, in accordance with training, certification, clinical guidelines, and organizational policies. Provide patient education, counseling, and shared decision-making related to reproductive health, sexual health, preventive care, and overall well-being. Identify risk factors, abnormal findings, and conditions requiring additional evaluation, physician consultation, co-management, or referral. Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team. Promote continuity of care and support patients in navigating appropriate health care services. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, clinical audits, and other activities that support patient safety, clinical excellence, and regulatory compliance. Maintain complete, timely, and accurate medical records, including patient histories, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up. Protect patient confidentiality and use, protect, and disclose protected health information in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Master’s degree from an accredited Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife program . Certification: Current national certification appropriate to the position, such as WHNP certification through the National Certification Corporation (NCC) or CNM certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB). Licensure: Current California RN license and applicable California advanced practice licensure/certification. CPR/BLS: Current certification required. Furnishing/Prescriptive Authority: Current California furnishing number and prescribing authority, as applicable. DEA: Current DEA registration, as applicable. Limited OB Ultrasound: Certification preferred; may be completed after hire. Experience: 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience preferred; qualified new graduates and candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply .
