Qualifications for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license Duties and Responsibilities for LPNs: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes in condition to the Registered Nurse (RN). Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans. Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding. Perform routine diagnostic tests and assist with procedures. Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and provide direction as needed. Ensure that medical records are maintained and up to date, documenting all observations and interactions with residents. This position is responsible for overseeing the facility’s infection prevention program while coordinating and delivering staff education to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and high-quality resident care.
