Our unit specializes in caring for surgical patients requiring anesthesia or sedation for procedures such as MRI, CT scans, interventional radiology, non-invasive radiology, and cardiovascular imaging and labs (CVIL). We operate 24/7 with dedicated staff providing uninterrupted care for up to four overnight extended surgical recovery patients. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive preoperative assessments and education to pediatric patients and their families. Prepare patients for surgery, ensuring safety and comfort. Deliver post-operative care, monitoring recovery and managing pain. Assist with anesthesia induction, airway management, and vital sign stabilization. Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care. Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly. Respond promptly to patient needs and emergent situations. Maintain a safe, supportive, and child-friendly environment. Qualifications: Associate's Degree in nursing (ADN) (Required) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Preferred) and applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered.
